Job summary

Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a field service engineer to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on customer machines, install and commission equipment on-site, and provide timely reports after service calls. The role requires strong teamwork, analytical skills, and excellent written and spoken English.

You will handle basic network troubleshooting, support on-site or remotely, and escalate complex issues to the Command Center.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or IT or related field
2–10 years of experience in IT, mechatronics or self-service banking terminals maintenance
Able to work in a team and communicate clearly in English
Wamiliar with basic network troubleshooting and software reloads

Responsibilities

Perform corrective maintenance on customers' machines and preventive maintenance as scheduled
Service and recondition faulty equipment after repair; install and commission machines at customer sites
Provide timely reports to customers after service calls and track unresolved calls to completion
Minimize machine downtime; escalate unresolved calls to Command Center when needed
Maintain good relationships with customers, peers, and staff; support fellow engineers as required
Handle call desk updates and ensure spare parts return within specified timeframes
Provide technical support on-site or via online tools; assist with company initiatives as required
