Job summary

Rentokil Initial Malaysia is looking for a capable Operations/Branch Manager to oversee service delivery across our pest management teams in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will plan schedules, train staff, and ensure quality, timely service while maintaining vehicle records and safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma in a related discipline, strong leadership and multilingual communication, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Diploma in related discipline with proven track record in managing staff.
• Possess good interpersonal, communication and people skills.
• Mature and able to manage a team of 10 members.
• Positive, result oriented, has good drive and initiative.
• Computer skill is essential.
• Willing to travel to client places.
• Keen to take Goods Delivery License (GDL) if shortlisted.
• Required valid driving license because driving is part of the job requirement for this designation.
• Possess own vehicle, is a Malaysian or hold a relevant resident status.

Responsibilities

• Plan and check service schedules via in-house system.
• Manage and train service staff to improve service quality.
• Ensure team provides quality and timely services as per schedule.
• Carry out regular quality assurance checks on completed services (20% supervision time).
• Perform quarterly field attachment with team members.
• Prepare and present weekly reports on team members’ review.
• Maintain accurate records of all service vehicles (renewal of road tax, maintenance due, repair costs, fuel usage, driver logs).
• Manage and control the branch’s fleet in a cost effective manner while ensuring safety.
• Ensure new business are completed within 10 working days from service agreement/confirmation.
• Ensure each service team is route-ridden once every 2 months.
• Present service capital expenditure requests monthly to Branch Manager.
• Prepare required returns and reports to head office and dispatch promptly.
• Conduct formal quarterly meetings with Technicians.
• Provide monthly status reports to Service Manager (State of Service, Customer Issues, Supervisors’ issues, Other issues).
• Recruit new Service Technicians (subject to approval).
• Induct, train and manage service staff; maintain high morale.
• Ensure staff understand Company objectives and policies.
• Provide continuing training and guidance to maintain competence; build customer relationships.
