Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a premier semiconductor equipment MNC in Penang/Kulim. You’ll be hands‑on with cutting‑edge chipmaking systems, delivering critical technical expertise to ensure top‑tier manufacturing facilities run at peak performance.

The role involves on‑site support, rapid troubleshooting during critical downtimes, and collaboration with local service teams and international leads to implement lasting corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support within the semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate effectively with regional stakeholders.
• Willingness to respond to on‑site emergencies and travel domestically or internationally for training and support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert on-site technical support to ensure client semiconductor manufacturing systems operate at peak efficiency.
• Perform swift troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair during critical system-down events to minimize fab downtime.
• Utilize core electrical, mechanical, and schematic-reading skills to execute complex equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate directly with local service teams and international engineering leads in Switzerland to implement precise, lasting corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between local fab clients and global engineering teams to resolve operational challenges long-term.
