Job summary

STERIS in Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting for medical devices at key accounts across the country.

You will travel within Malaysia, support the service team, and provide on-site customer training while adhering to safety protocols. A relevant diploma/degree, strong English, and a valid driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Experience repairing medical, hospital and healthcare equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia with short notice.
• Own vehicle with valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose, repair and install medical devices and related software/hardware.
• Diagnose malfunctions, determine corrective actions and escalate when needed.
• Maintain relationships with customers and internal teams; provide updates and logs.
• Support service activities for key accounts and coordinate with contractors for site work.
• Provide on-site training and ensure adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
