Job summary

Riken Keiki Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer based in Pengerang to support customers in the Southern region.

The role combines service engineering, customer service and project coordination, including onsite calibration, quotations and engagement with installed-base customers. You will respond to calibration service requests, handle sales enquiries through to quotation, and stay close to our gas detection systems on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related); Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may be considered.
3–4 years' experience preferred in application engineering, field service, calibration or technical customer service for instrumentation / industrial safety.
Hands-on experience with onsite calibration and troubleshooting (or closely related field instrumentation work).
Able to work independently with minimal supervision at a remote site.
Living in or willing to be based in Pengerang / south-east Johor; own transport and willingness to travel within Johor.

Responsibilities

Handle onsite calibration service requests in the Southern region and perform troubleshooting and sensor replacement.
Prepare and issue service and project quotations and follow them up.
Engage with customers to deliver strong service and maintain installed base in Pengerang, Tanjung Langsat and Pasir Gudang.
Coordinate jobs end-to-end: plan tasks, schedules and manpower with Sales, Service and subcontractors.
Provide technical advice, product demonstrations and customer training on installation, operation and maintenance.
