Riken Keiki Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to blend project management, customer service and field service for gas-detection systems.

You will handle enquiries and quotations, plan projects with Sales and subcontractors, and perform on-site calibration, troubleshooting and sensor replacement at customer sites. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin or Japanese as a plus; a Diploma/Engineering degree and 2–5 years' relevant experience are

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant experience; diploma holders with strong experience may be considered.
• Ideally 2–5 years in application engineering, project coordination/management, technical customer service, or field service for instrumentation/industrial safety.
• Clear project management background with planning and coordination skills.
• Strong customer service, responsiveness and follow-up.
• Experience handling customer enquiries and quotations for technical products.
• Hands-on onsite calibration and troubleshooting experience.
• Able to quote and discuss technical solutions and carry out site work.
• Willing to travel; own transport preferred.
• CAD experience is an advantage; comfortable with technical documentation.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or Japanese is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor, oil and gas, or industrial plants is advantageous; gas detection training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Handle customer enquiries and quotations; prepare and issue project and service quotations.
• Provide strong customer service for assigned accounts with installed-base engagement.
• Apply project management skills on new projects, plant expansions and facilities; coordinate Sales, Service and subcontractors.
• Perform onsite calibration, troubleshooting, sensor replacement, testing and system checks.
• Provide technical advice, product demonstrations and customer training on installation and maintenance.
• Grow service revenue through proactive visits and maintenance opportunities.
• Keep quotations, job records and reports complete; collaborate with Sales, Service and project teams.
• Travel to customer sites as required; field capability is essential.
