Job summary

WAWASAN GAS SDN. BHD. is seeking a motivated Sales & Application Engineer in Malaysia to drive sales of industrial instrumentation and mechanical products.

The role combines engineering insight with customer engagement, proposal development and technical support throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of technical sales experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in technical sales, industrial sales, application engineering or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, mechanical products, process equipment or automation is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates are welcome, especially those technically inclined and keen on industrial sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Engage with industrial customers to understand technical requirements, applications and challenges.
• Recommend instrumentation, mechanical products, equipment and technical solutions.
• Conduct site visits, product demonstrations and presentations as required.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations and product recommendations.
• Identify new business opportunities and maintain customer relationships.
• Monitor market trends, track competitors and report opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, quotes and opportunities.
