Farm Fresh Berhad is seeking a dedicated Animal Husbandry professional to oversee cattle health, breeding, feeding, and milking operations. The role collaborates with the Head of Unit to uphold sustainability and production goals within the dairy farming unit.

The candidate will maintain records, provide monthly health and management reports, and ensure all equipment and supplies are stocked and operational. Strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Animal Science/Animal Husbandry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to follow directions from Head of Unit (HOU).

Responsabilités

• Adopt Good Animal Husbandry Practice to maximize production and sustainability.
• Manage breeding, hoof care, calf rearing, feeds, pasture, and milking management.
• Establish health checks and preventive medicine programs.
• Maintain records of all herd procedures and programs.
• Provide monthly reports on treatments, programs and projections.
• Ensure equipment and working area are maintained and inventory is stocked.
• Oversee feed quality, quantity, and distribution.
• Manage projects designated by management.

Description du poste

Collaborate with the Head of Unit (HOU) to accomplish the unit's objective of sustainability animal husbandry throughout company vision and mission. Meanwhile, maintaining the overall health and well-being of the cattle.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure best practices in cattle dairy farming by adapting Good Animal Husbandry Practice to maximize production, optimize profit, consistent and ensure sustainability

Manage specified dairy herd sustainable programs such as breeding, hoof care, calf rearing, feeds, pasture, and milking management

Establish health checks and perform control and preventive medicine programmes on individual and herd animal

Record keeping for all procedures and programs done on any animal in the herd population

Provide monthly summary reports on treatments, programs, management parameters, and projections

Ensure all husbandry equipment and working area are maintained and fully operational and inventory consumables are in stock

Oversee the quality, quantity and distribution of animal feed within livestock operation

Manage any assigned projects designated by management

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree of Animal Science/Animal Husbandry

Basic level of proficiency in using Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and new technologies in future

Good interpersonal and communication skills, in verbal and written for English and Bahasa Malaysia

Capable of executing tasks and adhering to directives provided by the Head of Unit (HOU)

Provide technical support and training to team members promoting knowledge sharing within the team
