Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Facility Manager with hospital background to oversee operation, maintenance and safety of building systems in a hospital setting, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, lifts, medical gas, and water supply.

You will ensure compliance with safety, infection control, environmental and accreditation standards, maintain records, manage renovations and vendor contracts, and coordinate with external providers to deliver reliable, compliant facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in facilities management or hospital facilities.
• Experience with hospital building services and biomedical equipment.
• Knowledge of CAPA and equipment documentation.
• Familiarity with safety, infection control and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance and safety of hospital building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, lifts, medical gas, water).

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance and safety of building systems in a hospital environment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, generators, lifts, medical gas systems, water supply systems, and biomedical equipment.
• Monitor facility and equipment performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, safety requirements, environmental and statutory regulations, safety standards, infection control requirements, and hospital accreditation requirements.
• Maintain and monitor maintenance records, troubleshooting and repair records, calibration records, service reports and asset registers for hospital facilities and equipment.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Oversee the installation, commissioning and disposal of hospital facilities and equipment where applicable.
• Manage facility renovation, upgrading and expansion projects, including project planning, execution and contractor coordination.
• Manage service contracts, monitor vendor performance, handle warranty claims and coordinate with external service providers.
• Review supplier quotations and ensure that suppliers' pricing is fair and competitive.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, engineering maintenance or hospital/healthcare facilities.
• Experience managing hospital facilities, building services and/or biomedical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, lifts, medical gas and water supply systems.
• Experience in facility maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements, safety standards, environmental regulations, infection control and healthcare accreditation requirements.
• Experience managing facility renovation, upgrading and expansion projects, including contractor management.
• Experience managing vendors, service contracts, warranties and external service providers.
• Strong understanding of maintenance records, calibration, asset management and equipment documentation.
• Good knowledge of CAPA / root cause analysis and equipment failure investigation.
