Jora Malaysia invites applications for a Facility Maintenance Technician (Intern) role at our Penang plant. You will support daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks and participate in inspection rounds to monitor gauges and utilities.
You will assist in basic plumbing, piping and electrical repairs under supervision, maintain 5S standards, follow EHS guidelines, and document inspection data. 3–6 month internship, seek building facilities knowledge.

Support technicians in executing daily and weekly scheduled facility Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks according to the site maintenance plan.
Participate in scheduled plant inspection rounds to check gauges, read meters, and monitor utility equipment for abnormalities (noise, excessive heat, or leaks).
Assist in basic hands-on plumbing, piping, and electrical repairs on factory utilities under senior tech supervision.
Maintain absolute cleanliness (5S) in tool storage rooms, plant utility bays, and workspaces, ensuring proper material arrangement.
Learn and strictly follow environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines, including the proper disposal of technical waste materials.
Accurately record inspection parameters and update facility maintenance checklists and logs.
Job Requirements:
Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Vocational Certificate (SKM) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Facilities, or equivalent technical fields.
Note: Candidates whose curriculum prepares them for future Malaysian Energy Commission (ST) Chargeman A0/A1 certifications are highly valued.
Duration: Able to commit to a continuous internship period of 3 to 6 months.
Technical Aptitude: Foundational understanding of basic building electrical wiring, industrial piping, pumping loops, and a strong capability to use manual hand tools.
Attitude: A proactive team player, highly responsible, and eager to learn the backbone operations of a major manufacturing plant.
Working Conditions: To perform active field inspections (walking, climbing ladders, and lifting technical parts safely). Willingness to follow facility shift frameworks if needed.
