Job summary

Matrix Educare in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee Facility & Operations, planning daily work across maintenance, HVAC, security, and support teams. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, supervise staff and vendors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in a related field with at least 5 years of facilities operations experience, including 2 years coordinating people, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Property Management, Operations, Business Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant facilities or building-operations experience, including 2 years coordinating staff, contractors or service providers.
• Practical knowledge of M&E systems, building maintenance, safety, compliance, cleaning, security and vendor management.
• Able to manage work orders, inspections, maintenance schedules, quotations, budgets and operational records.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily work across maintenance, air-conditioning, helpdesk, cleaning, landscape, events and security support teams.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical systems, generators, lifts, plumbing, fire protection, LPG and building assets.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors, monitor SLA/KPI performance, verify completed work and follow up on defects.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, fire drills, incident response, access control, CCTV and business continuity.
• Supervise and coach coordinators, executives, technicians, handymen, cleaners and security personnel.
