Job summary

1MK Retail Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise and monitor administrative and maintenance staff across our facilities. You will oversee inspections, ensure safety, and coordinate with contractors.

The role requires 2–3 years in operations, maintenance, security or car park, a background in engineering, and fluent Bahasa Melayu and English. You will manage purchases, budgets, documents and communications, working Monday to Saturday 9:00am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least Engineering Certificate/Diploma/Degree or its equivalent.
At least 2 or 3 years working experience in operations, maintenance, security and car park.
Able to converse and write well in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Good interpersonal and supervision skills and able to communicate with all levels.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to work in fast pace environment.

Responsibilities

To assist Operations Manager in supervising and monitoring administrative and maintenance staff.
To carry out routine building inspections and assist in monitoring common area defect rectification work when necessary.
To assist in diagnosing defects and recommend solutions by preparing adequate scope of works before calling/sourcing for contractors / suppliers service provider to send quotations/proposals.
To ensure routine checking and spot checks are carried out to all the units under renovation to prevent any illegal/unauthorized works.
Prepare and process purchase order and monitor payment for suppliers and contractors.
To file all documents in hard copy, tracking and document flow.
To process the invoice and quotation from suppliers, contractors and service provider.
To monitor the budget amounted for all items and keep track on the expedition.
Prepare responses to business correspondence, General Letters, memos, signatures and notice.
Prepare documents including correspondences, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
To assist in other work as and when required.
