Job summary

C&W SERVICES (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking an on-site Facilities Support Specialist to oversee maintenance activities and coordinate change implementations across data centers in Johor Bahru.

You will provide essential onsite support, review critical documents, and assist with CAB preparations to ensure smooth operations. The role requires 1–2 years of data center facilities experience, strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and monitoring systems, and excellent communication to navigate

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant onsite experience in data center operations, facilities support, or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure systems incl. electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide updates, escalate issues, and follow structured maintenance and incident processes.
• Familiarity with incident management, change management, and risk-based review of vendor maintenance activities in operational environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

Support facility operations across data centers by overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating change implementation, and providing onsite support during scheduled maintenance windows. Review and validate technical documents such as MOPs, Risk Assessments, and SOPs, and help manage vendor change requests through the internal change management process. Consolidate maintenance schedules, monitor change records, and support risk-based approvals and escalations, including preparation for CAB reviews. Respond to facility incidents and alarms by verifying affected areas, coordinating with providers, and ensuring emergency procedures are activated where required. Maintain accurate maintenance, change, and audit records, while providing regular operational updates on facility activities, support requests, and performance. Provide after-hours support through an agreed on-call roster and assist with additional facility-related duties that support business continuity and operational efficiency.

About you

• 1–2 years of relevant onsite experience in data center operations, facilities support, or a similar environment
• Ability to complete a tailored training plan related to the role
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systems
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide updates clearly, elevate issues promptly, and work effectively within structured maintenance and incident processes
• Familiarity with incident management, change management, and risk-based review of vendor maintenance activities in operational environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond with urgency during incidents, particularly in large-scale or mission-critical settings
• Exposure to capacity management, rack layout planning, space/power/cooling provisioning, or industry certifications such as CDCP would be an advantage
