Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance engineer to oversee both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance issues around the factory. You will undertake planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring of plant and equipment, and report to Operations staff on breakdown status.

To be responsible for both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance issues around the factory.
Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring activities of plant and equipment.
Report to Operations staff on the status of machine breakdowns.
To manage and deliver departmental targets-based projects.
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings (some of which will occasionally be outside of your normal working hours).
Produce Excel and Word-based production reports as required.
Proactively identify and implement improvements to operational machine and resource efficiencies whilst considering the impact on other departments. Promoting a continuous improvement culture within the department.
Work in conjunction with Operations staff on daily operational engineering-related issues and continuous improvement teams.
Manage subcontractors as required.
Identify creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
Responsible for individual performance measures.
Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy and hazard-free working environment is maintained to defined standards.
To contribute to data tracking improvement activities as they relate to own area of responsibility.
Perform general administration tasks as necessary.
Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Possess at least Technical Secondary School or above in Chemical Engineering or Welding related field.
Training in safety standardization and related knowledge, with intermediate-level qualifications in welding maintenance or more than 2 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with basic network knowledge.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Hands-on ability, communication ability, interpersonal ability and execution ability.
