Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking an IT Support professional to monitor and support hospital information systems, install peripherals, and assist end-users. You will maintain data security, liaise with external providers, and help train staff in system usage.

The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and willingness to travel. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in IT/CS and have 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
• Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare.
• Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel and work after hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the basic computerized system and support end-users.
• Install and configure computer peripherals and software when required.
• Maintain reference data, update and secure the Hospital Information System.
• Provide IT support to end-users on HMS software, PC software and IT devices.
• Relate data-flow between modules in the application systems and understand inter-module integration.
• Manage the hospital's LAN network and liaise with external providers on major issues.
• Provide training to IT operators or end-users on relevant systems.
• Carry out basic maintenance for hospital computer hardware.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and participate in quality initiatives.
• Follow safety, health, and security requirements under policies.

Job description

Continuous monitoring basic computerized system and supporting end-users on utilizing the system. Installs and configures computer peripherals and software when required.

2) JOB REQUISITION

• Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.
• Responsible for the reference data maintenance, updating and security of the overall Hospital Information System application and other software.
• Day to day monitoring the system performance in terms of utilization and capacity.
• Responsible for the basic routine maintenance and troubleshooting for all computer hardware within the hospital.
• Support end-users on matters/problems concerning the Hospital Information System software, PC software and IT devices.
• Able to relate data-flow between the modules in the Application Systems and understands the inter-module integration.
• Responsible for the network (LAN) system in the building.
• Liaison with external provider or vendor on major system problem occurrence.
• Provide training to IT operator or end-users on relevant IT system when necessary.
• Write simple computer programs, compile and test it in accordance to the specification given by IT HOS.
• Further instruction by the Top Management of RSH or KPJ as a whole.
• Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.
• Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
• Participate in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements.
• Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).
• Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
• Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.
• To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.

• Ensure all policies and procedures od ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices and activities at hospitals & companies if and when these programs are implemented.

3) JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or any related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
• Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hospital, the brand and the Company.
• Ability to identify market segments, niches and potential markets.
• Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.
• Microsoft office literacy.
• Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently.
• Willing to travel.
• Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
• Prepared to work as a team member in the manner the best.
