KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Biomedical Technician to manage biomedical equipment across the hospital, focusing on Planned Preventive Maintenance, cost control, and risk mitigation. The role includes scheduling, vendor oversight, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for biomedical equipment.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.
  • Prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.
  • Oversee service vendors within the hospital and participate in quality initiatives.
  • Compile monthly reports on maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and MSQH standards.

BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN, HEALTHCARE ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT

To manage all biomedical equipment in the hospital through management of PPM service schedule and also cost and risk minimizing activities.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

Ensure compliancetothe termed Vision and Mission statements, goals,objectivesand valuesof the Company.

To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule forbiomedicalequipment.

Tomonitorthe progress of the PPM service schedule.

To schedulecorrectivemaintenance service for faulty equipment.

Tomonitorthe changing of spare parts.

To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.

To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.

To oversee service vendors within the hospital.

To attend internal and external training courses provided.

To develop procedures withregardsto communication flow.

To compile monthly reports on maintenance activities.

To process stock requisition.

Further instruction by the Top Management of RSH or KPJ as a whole.

Ensure to activelyparticipatein all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.

Ensureall policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001,ISO 45001, ISO50001and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and recordsmaintained,if and whenthese programs are implemented.

Participate in 5S activities andcomply withthe specified requirements.

Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).

Ensure the policies on patients andfamily’srights are addressed at all times.

Ensure compliance toPatientsafety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).

Perform anyother duties assigned by the superior.

Tocarriedout duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:

  • To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and otherpersons.
  • To co-operate with your employer or any otherpersonsin the discharge of any duty.
  • To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
  • Tocomply withany instruction or measure on Occupational Safety and Health.

Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices, and activities at hospitals & companiesif and whenthese programs are implemented.

3) JOB REQUIREMENT

2 years of relevant experience oran equivalentcombination of education andwork relatedexperience.

Liaise with theHospital Engineerin thedecision makingpertaining tothe related work activities.

Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties thatreflectshighly on the hospital, thebrandand the Company.

Ability toidentifymarket segments,nichesand potential markets.

Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays whenrequired.

Microsoft office literacy.

Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently.

Willingto travel.

Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.

Prepared to work as a team member in themanner the best.
