Job summary

Boustead Estates Agency Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Executive to support the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of procurement systems and digital transformation initiatives.

You will gather user requirements, assist in RFQ/tender activities, maintain procurement data and dashboards, and coordinate with Engineering, Operations and Finance. 2–4 years’ experience in procurement or engineering procurement is preferred, with willingness to travel across Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement or a related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience in procurement, engineering procurement, supply chain or related fields.
• Exposure to ERP, procurement, e-procurement or related business systems.
• Experience in RFQ/tender administration and supplier coordination.
• Strong data management and Excel/reporting skills.
• Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management abilities.

Job description

1. Procurement Systems & Digital Transformation Support

• Support the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of procurement systems and digital

solutions.

• Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements, system issues and process requirements.

• Support system testing, UAT, data preparation and system implementation activities.

• Monitor system issues and coordinate with relevant users, IT and system providers for resolution.

• Maintain procurement data, reports and system records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Support the preparation of system dashboards and reports.

• Support sourcing and procurement activities for engineering requirements, including CAPEX,

MRO, machinery, equipment, spare parts and technical services.

• Assist in RFQ/tender preparation, supplier quotation analysis, price comparison and

documentation.

• Support supplier evaluation and procurement data analysis.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Mill, Estate and Operations users on procurement requirements and

follow-up.

• Assist in monitoring sourcing activities, delivery status and procurement-related issues.

3. Process Improvement & Administration

• Support the review and documentation of procurement workflows, SOPs, templates and

processes.

• Identify operational issues and opportunities for process improvement and digitalisation.

• Maintain proper procurement records and documentation for reporting, audit and compliance

purposes.

• Provide administrative and analytical support for procurement improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, IT and other relevant stakeholders on

procurement and system-related matters.

• Liaise with suppliers and contractors on quotations, documentation and procurement-related

follow-ups.

• Escalate significant system, procurement or supplier issues to the Assistant Manager for further

action.

Requirements: -

Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement, engineering procurement, supply chain or procurement systems, preferably within plantation, palm oil mill, manufacturing, property development or production/factory environments.

Exposure to ERP, procurement, e-procurement or other business systems; experience supporting system

implementation or enhancement is an advantage.

Basic understanding of engineering procurement, including CAPEX, MRO, machinery/equipment, spare

parts and technical services.

Experience in RFQ/tender administration, quotation analysis, price comparison and supplier coordination.

Good data management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other

reporting tools.

Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Good understanding of procurement governance, processes and controls.

Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other data/reporting tools.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Willingness to travel for outstation assignments across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

Fit to work and has a good attendance record.
