Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to source, negotiate, compare and analyse materials and services, and evaluate vendor quotations to meet technical specs and commercial terms.

You will manage daily procurement processes including planning, issuing and following up on purchase orders and delivery schedules, assess vendor performance, and ensure documentation complies with ISO standards. Travel to Bintulu may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent with 5–6 years of procurement experience.
• Fluent Mandarin preferred as role interacts with Chinese vendors.
• Proactive, responsible and owns performance impact on company success.
• Candidate must be willing to travel to Bintulu occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, negotiating, comparing, and analysing materials and services to be purchased and evaluate vendor quotations.
• Be in-charge of daily procurement processes such as planning, issuing, and following up on purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery time and price.
• Ensure all procurement documents comply with company policies and are well documented.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.
• Adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 in procurement and best practices.
• Take overall responsibility for the effectiveness of the HSE management system and a safe workplace.

Job description

Sourcing, negotiating, comparing, and analysing materials and services to be purchased, and evaluate vendor's quotation to ensure in line with the technical specification and commercial terms required

Be in-charge of daily procurement processes such as planning, issuing, and following up on purchase orders delivery and shipment schedules

Evaluate vendor's performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices

Ensure all procurement processes and documents are following company policies and well documented

Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior

Adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 requirement and best practices in procurement

Taking overall responsibility and accountability for the effectiveness of the HSE management system and prevention of work-related injury and ill health, as well as the provision of environmentally friendly, safe and healthy workplace and activities

What are we looking for:-

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration or relevant field of study with at least 5-6 years of experience in related field

Fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with vendor from China

Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, pride in performance and its impact on Company's success

A well-organized individual, independent, self-starter, result-oriented, thorough with strong interpersonal skills

Fresh graduate are welcomed to apply

Candidate must willing travel to Bintulu occasionally
