Job summary

Tan Chong Group is seeking a procurement professional in Jalan Ipoh, KL to support cost analysis, vendor management, and price negotiations for Marketing materials and campaigns. The role requires strong detail orientation and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work with BU Marketing and suppliers to ensure accurate costing, timely PR processing, and compliant documentation within a dynamic conglomerate environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Management or a relevant field of study.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, particularly in cost analysis and figures.
• Experience in procurement operations.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs and process flow.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented, result-oriented, and able to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate prices with vendors to meet group procurement targets.
• Analyze costing and requirements from business units to maximize target achievement.
• Verify costing and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with vendor management.
• Prepare cost analyses, summarize requests, and verify price quote authenticity and vendor trust.
• Identify and select suppliers meeting price, quality, quantity, stock availability, and delivery date criteria.
• Complete checks and validate PRs within the given time frame.
• Support BU Marketing with quotes, brochures, leaflets, banners, and related materials for campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:

• Negotiation Skills
  • Price negotiation with vendors to achieve Group Procurement target price or below.
• Analysis Skills
  • Analyst the costing and requirement from Business Units to maximize the target achieve.
• Checking Abilities
  • To verify and make sure all costing, documentation are accurate and comply with vendor management.
• Accuracy Skill
  • To prepare cost analysis and summarize the request and measure the accuracy, genuine of the price quote and trusted vendors.
• Interpretation & Communication Skill
  • Identify & select suppliers that meets the criteria of price, quality & quantity, availability of stocks & delivery date to meet Marketing requirements.
• Speed of Works
  • To complete checking and validate the PR within time frame provided.
• Responsibility
  • Take part in BTL (Below the line) items like brochure & Leaflets printing, banner & bunting, car sticker/ wrap and poster printing, Premiums & Gifts and etc. for BU Marketing monthly promotional campaigns and roadshows usage.
  • Analyze & justify quotations submitted by BU Marketing, make sure all the spec are standardized and compile all the information before proceed to negotiation steps.
  • Identify & select suppliers that meets the criteria of price, quality & quantity, availability of stocks & delivery date to meet Marketing requirements.

Job Requirements:
