Job summary

Sime Darby Property is seeking a diligent accounting professional to support financial operations, prepare journals, and assist with month-end close and reporting. You will help with budgets, forecasts, and treasury tasks while ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, proficiency in Excel, and strong communication skills. Experience in retail malls is a plus. You will collaborate with auditors and tax agents and handle ad-hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or professional accounting qualification required.
• Minimum 3 years' accounting experience.
• Experience in retail mall industry preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support in financial operations and financial accounting, including management reporting, statutory reporting, treasury, taxation and compliance.
• Assist in full set of accounts, including month end closing and timely submission of finalised accounts.
• Prepare monthly schedules and reconciliations of accounts.
• Perform monthly analysis of actual expenditure against budget.
• Assist in annual budget and monthly forecast.
• Maintain asset schedule and manage asset-related matters.
• Assist in cash management, monitor daily cash balance and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly SST submission, corporate tax computation, tax estimate and deferred tax calculation.
• Handle daily finance operations.
• Assist in IT system implementation.
• Ensure finance administration, filing and documentation are in order.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and other stakeholders.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Education/ Professional Qualification

• Well versed with Microsoft Office application and proficient in Excel.
• Strong communication, teamwork and collaboration skills.
