Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced financial accounting professional to manage monthly, quarterly and annual close, including group consolidation. You will prepare financial statements, coordinate with auditors, and support tax audits while ensuring compliant reporting.
The role requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Mandarin is an added advantage; SAP and MS Office skills are essential.
1. Responsible for financial accounting matters including:
a) Monthly, quarterly and annual financial close.
b) Annual statutory audit.
c) Periodic reporting to various stakeholders.
d) Support tax department on tax audit or investigation.
2. Establish and review appropriate accounting policies, processes and procedures.
1. Prepare accounting documents/journal for monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close including group consolidation to ensure smooth month end closing process and meet reporting timelines.
2. Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements including group consolidation, to ensure accurate financials by applying appropriate accounting principles and standards, Companies Act, pronouncement and etc., and aligning to internal management direction or decision and group reporting direction and requirement.
3. Prepare information requested by Group Tax in order to complete tax computation or tax audit/investigation to ensure proper and sufficient information are provided to address tax matters.
4. Prepare audit schedule and supporting documents for annual audit statutory or internal audit review including working closely with external and internal auditors
5. Prepare monthly inter-company charging or billing to ensure charges are in accordance with proper documentation and computation.
6. Perform periodic review of financial statements and reconciliation of balances working schedules
7. Maintain policies, processes and procedures to support timely, reliability and accuracy of financial data on the day to day operations of the group, safeguard the company assets and optimise the operational efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Assist optimise processes for reporting functions.
9. Prepare statistical report or information required to meet statutory and regulatory reporting obligations and requirements.
10. Collate and report financial information to management or shareholder and execution of new requirements/directions from shareholders
11. Comply with all applicable SHEQ legal requirements and our stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence.
12. Perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.
a) Professional qualification in accountancy and/or finance (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, etc) or Degree in Accountancy and/or Finance.
1. Minimum years of working experience related to the work scope:
a) At least 3 years’ relevant experience in similar capacity but not limited to similar industry.
a) Preferably with 2 years of experience in group consolidation.
1. Preferably a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants with sound technical knowledge of applicable accounting standards and financial reporting requirements, tax requirements and other related law/compliances.
2. Attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
3. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and SAP system.
4. Good communication and writing skill.
5. Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
