Job summary

ACCA Careers in Petaling Jaya seeks a capable Senior Accountant to manage full-set accounts, monthly closures, and management reporting. You will generate project P&Ls, intercompany analyses, and key financial statements to support executive decisions.

Additionally, you will oversee treasury activities, SST and tax compliance, and coordinate statutory audits with external professionals. Proficiency in Excel and experience with Oracle/SAP/QNE are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, engineering, project-based, or contracting industries is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, withholding tax, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounts and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Oracle/SAP/QNE advantageous).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and executive decision-support analyses.
• Generate project P&L, project tracking, aging (AR/AP/Inventory), and intercompany reports.
• Manage full set of accounts (AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Bank) and monthly/annual closures.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations (bank/stock/balance sheet), accruals, prepayments, and staff claims.
• Oversee treasury tasks: trade payments, bank reconciliations, and vendor communications.
• Oversee SST, income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing compliance and filings.
• Lead annual statutory audit coordination, schedule preparation, and audit query defense.
• Act as liaison for external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies.

Acounting

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and executive decision-support analysis.
• Generate project P&L, project tracking, aging (AR/AP/Inventory), and intercompany reports.
• Manage full set of accounts (AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Bank) and monthly/annual closures.

Treasury

• Manage trade payment processing, vendor payment status communications, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee trade finance instruments, including letters of credit and bank guarantees.

Taxation

• Manage SST, income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing compliance and filings.
• Lead e-Invoicing compliance (issuance, validation, record-keeping, self-billing scenarios).
• Partner with external tax advisors on tax planning, estimates, and statutory submissions.

Audit & Compliance

• Lead annual statutory audit coordination, schedule preparation, and audit query defense.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies.

Requirement
