INCEIF University is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Executive in Finance to join our Bursary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the University's student billing, accounts receivable, collection, reconciliation and related bursary operations. The role ensures that student financial transactions and records are processed accurately and on time in accordance with approved policies, procedures and financial controls. The position also provides operational support to students and relevant stakeholders, prepares routine financial reports and reconciliations, supports monthly closing and audit requirements and escalates exceptions or complex matters to the appropriate supervisor.
Manage student billing, invoices, payments, sponsorships, discounts and account adjustments.
Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding student balances.
Perform bank, student account and trade debtor reconciliations and support monthly financial closing.
Process refunds, payment deferments, write-offs and other approved student account transactions.
Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
Respond to student and stakeholder enquiries and liaise with sponsors, banks and payment providers.
Support audits, regulatory submissions and the resolution of student financial system discrepancies.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent professional qualification.
Preferably 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, billing, finance operations or student financial administration.
Good knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting and accounting processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or Student Management Systems is an advantage.
Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good written and spoken English, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
Able to manage deadlines, maintain confidentiality and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
