Universiti Islam Malaysia is seeking an Account Assistant (Junior Account Executive) & Counsellor to support daily accounting operations within the university’s finance department. The role involves handling invoices, data entry, and financial records to ensure accurate reporting.

The successful candidate will typically hold a Diploma/Degree in Accounting, with fresh graduates encouraged to apply; proficient Excel skills are essential, and UBS/SQL/AutoCount knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification is required.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of accounting standards, bookkeeping and financial procedures in higher education.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of UBS/SQL/AutoCount is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, claims, and data entry.
Support preparation of financial reports, payment vouchers, and monthly reconciliations.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Monitor budget allocations for departments and faculties.
Assist with student-related financial matters (tuition fees, refunds, sponsorship documentation).
Liaise with suppliers and internal units on payment documentation; ensure compliance with policies and audit requirements.
Undertake other tasks as directed by Finance Officer or Bursar's Office.
