Job summary

Carsome Sdn Bhd in Georgetown, Malaysia, is seeking an Executive to support branch operations and keep our car inventory in top condition. You will coordinate vehicle handovers, inspections, and timely transfers between branches and yards, ensuring accurate records and ready vehicles for customers.

Reporting to the Branch Operations Assistant Manager, you will collaborate with Logistics and Branch Ops teams, manage stock counts, arrange transport, and assist with ad hoc projects to keep branch

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in automotive or inventory-related field.
• Automotive background advantageous.
• Valid driving licence with clean record; willingness to travel.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritise, and think on your feet.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with JPJ or Puspakom procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Handover & Inspection: carry out handover checks, pre-delivery inspections, inspect vehicles, keep records updated, arrange car washes, prepare cars for test drives, renew inspections on time, conduct stock counts, update systems, tag keys.
• Collection Support: prepare vehicles for collection, support dealer and customer collections, receive and hand over vehicles transferred from other branches.
• Vehicle Transfer & Logistics: coordinate transfers with Logistics, assist loading/unloading, arrange photoshoots, keep transfer records updated.
• Other Responsibilities: take on ad hoc tasks and projects to support branch operations.

Executive, Branch Support Operations (Georgetown)

About You

You're hands-on, organized, and love cars. In this role, you'll be the person who keeps our branch's car inventory running smoothly every day, making sure every vehicle is accounted for, well maintained, and ready for customers. You'll work closely with internal teams such as Logistics and Branch Operations to keep cars moving between branches and yards without a hitch. You'll report directly to the Branch Operations Assistant Manager.

Your Day-to-Day

Vehicle Handover & Inspection

• Carry out vehicle handover checks and pre-delivery inspections to make sure every car meets our quality standards.
• Inspect vehicles coming in and going out of the branch, and keep records up to date.
• Look after the general upkeep of vehicles, including arranging car washes and touch-ups.
• Prepare cars for test drives and check them again afterwards.
• Make sure vehicle inspections (e.g., Puspakom) are renewed on time.
• Conduct regular stock counts to keep inventory accurate.
• Update our internal systems whenever a car is moved or collected.
• Keep car keys properly tagged and organised for easy tracking.

Collection Support

• Prepare vehicles for collection by checking availability and arranging parking and transport.
• Support dealer and customer collections, including final inspections.
• Receive and hand over vehicles transferred from other branches.

Vehicle Transfer & Logistics

• Work with the Logistics team to coordinate vehicle transfers between branches.
• Support vehicle movement, including loading and unloading cars for transport.
• Arrange vehicle photoshoots when needed.
• Keep transfer and movement records updated in our systems.

Other Responsibilities

• Take on ad hoc tasks and projects from time to time to support branch operations.

Your Know-How

• SPM, Diploma, or any higher qualification in any field.
• An automotive background or education is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the automotive industry or any related field involving inventory management.
• A valid driving licence with a clean record, and willingness to travel.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
• Able to multitask, prioritise, and think on your feet.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with JPJ or Puspakom procedures is a plus.
