Job summary

Lotte Chemical Titan (M) Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is hiring an accounting professional to monitor fixed assets, AFE, and month-end closing activities in compliance with DOA and company policies.

The role requires a degree in accounting or a recognized professional qualification and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, good Excel skills, and SAP experience preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and immediate start is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventories, physical counts, and asset disposals/written offs.
• Prepare assets additions, disposals and write-offs for tax analysis.
• Support annual statutory audits and other asset/inventory related audits.

Job description

Analyze, monitor and administer capital expenditure (AFE), fixed assets register, inventory related activities and month end closing processes, ensuring transactions and records are processed accurately and timely in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA) and company policies and procedures and applicable accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Monitor fixed assets affairs including turnaround, fixed assets sighting/tagging, maintain fixed assets register, AFE related matters, fixed assets written off and etc.

Responsible for month end closing activities related to fixed assets, including preparation of monthly management report, quarterly and yearly report for Bursa.

Follow up outstanding AFE work in progress cost for timely capitalized into Fixed Asset.

Monitor and timely capture of plant turnaround cost in accounts upon completion.

Work with operation/maintenance personnel to resolve questions related to turnaround job/project costs.

Preparation of assets addition, disposal and write off for annual tax computation analysis exercise.

Coordinate inventories affairs including physical inventory count, inventory disposal/written off/adjustment exercise

Prepare the periodical surveys by Government and other statutory bodies, including statistics department, MIDA, MITI, Bank Negara Malaysia and etc.

Coordinate the annual statutory audit and other special audits pertaining to asset and inventory.

Requirements

Degree in accounting and/or recognized professional accounting qualification.

At least 1-2 years working experience in relevant field.

Good communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, hands‑on experience in SAP will be an added advantage.

Self‑motivated team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Highly organized, with good attention to detail and follow-through.

Committed, strong sense of urgency towards deadline.
