Job summary
Lotte Chemical Titan (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia’s Pasir Gudang region is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance programs for plant equipment and electrical power systems. You will review schedules, guide troubleshooting, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
The role involves planning capital expenditure proposals, updating technical documents, and coordinating with operations to minimize downtime and optimize reliability.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum experience of 6 years in process / petrochemical / refinery life plant.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and systems listed above.
Responsibilities
- Plan, review and execute Planned Maintenance Program (PM, TBM, CBM, PDM) based on plant history and schedules.
- Plan, review and execute turnaround and scheduled/unscheduled shutdown maintenance.
- Lead technical aspects for Electrical Power system projects and improvements.
- Drive technical implementation of electrical initiatives and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance during troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Review and update drawings, operating documents and work instructions.
- Prepare CAPEX documentation for equipment upgrades and replacements.
- Maintain ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 compliance.

Job description
This role involves planning, reviewing and executing maintenance programs based on plant equipment history, statutory requirements and production schedules. You will lead technical aspects of electrical power systems, drive implementation of operational and engineering initiatives, and provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective actions. You will also review and update documentation, prepare capital expenditure proposals, and maintain compliance with ISO standards.
Plan, review and execute Planned Maintenance Program (PM, TBM, CBM, PDM) based on plants equipment history, statutory requirements and plant production schedule
Plan, review and execute turnaround (TA) and scheduled / unscheduled shutdown maintenance
Lead in technical aspects for Electrical Power system in respect to project and improvement/upgrading initiatives
Lead in driving and monitoring technical implementation of Electrical Power system operational/engineering initiatives/best practices
Provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective action (CA) of electrical equipment breakdown or failures to find root cause and best solution
Review and update drawings, operating documents, work instruction and make improvements and amendment base on latest requirement and changes
Plan, review and prepare CAPEX proposal documentation for equipment upgrading and replacement based on ageing, obsolescence, degradation and repetitive failure equipment
Develops, improves ad maintains maintenance function of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and compliance
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) Or Equivalent
6 years' experience in process / petrochemical / refinery life plant
Has good knowledge of electrical equipment & system such as UPS, power transformers, motors, generators, MCC, switchgear, sub-stations (132/22/6.6 KV), power distribution / control / coordination system
