Job summary

EMAX Corporate is seeking an Event Lead to bring Upbound’s brand concepts and activation ideas to life. You will collaborate with the founder, marketing, creative, sales, and external partners to translate ideas into tangible spaces, merchandise and experiences.

You will move from creative discussions to supplier sourcing, budgeting and on-site execution, ensuring consistency with the Upbound brand across activations and events.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in event production, brand activation, experiential marketing, exhibition production, visual merchandising or creative production.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, printing, signage, materials, merchandise and event operations.
  • Able to communicate effectively with designers, contractors, suppliers and commercial partners.
  • Strong visual judgement and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Activation Production
  • Translate brand decks, campaign concepts and partnership proposals into physical activation plans
  • Develop the production requirements for booths, hydration stations, retail displays, event spaces, sampling stations and branded installations
  • Recommend suitable materials, structures, fabrication methods and production approaches
  • Prepare production timelines, budgets and execution checklists
  • Ensure every physical activation feels consistent with the Upbound brand
  • Fabrication and Supplier Management
  • Source and evaluate fabricators, printers, contractors, merchandise suppliers and production vendors
  • Request quotations and compare pricing, quality, timelines and production capabilities
  • Brief external vendors clearly using layouts, dimensions, material references and visual mockups
  • Manage samples, prototypes, production revisions and final quality checks
  • Build a reliable network of production partners that Upbound can use across different events and locations
  • Creative Coordination
  • Work with the internal creative team to develop layouts, artwork, signage, packaging, merchandise and activation materials
  • Translate production limitations and technical requirements into clear creative briefs
  • Ensure designs are practical, correctly sized and ready for production
  • Review artwork files, measurements, materials and finishing before production begins
  • Protect the consistency and quality of the Upbound brand across every physical touchpoint
  • Merchandise Development
  • Develop branded merchandise that people would genuinely want to use or wear
  • Source suppliers for apparel, bottles, towels, bags, accessories, event items and limited edition products
  • Manage product sampling, material selection, sizing, costing, packaging and production timelines
  • Identify opportunities to create merchandise together with athletes, creators, gyms, run clubs or partner brands
  • Event and Activation Execution
  • Plan the operational requirements for races, gym activations, retail events, sampling programmes and community experiences
  • Coordinate transportation, setup, manpower, equipment, stock, ice, storage, signage and event materials
  • Attend important activations and oversee setup, execution and teardown
  • Solve production and operational issues quickly during live events
  • Conduct a review after each activation and identify ways to improve future execution
  • Partnership Activation
  • Identify external brands, vendors, creators and service providers that can improve the Upbound experience
  • Develop ideas for collaborative merchandise, recovery zones, music, food, fitness activities or community experiences
  • Work with the partnership and sales teams to turn sponsorship proposals into strong physical activations
  • Coordinate with partners to ensure responsibilities, branding exposure, timelines and deliverables are clear

Job Summary

The Event Lead is responsible for bringing Upbound’s brand concepts, event ideas and partnership proposals to life. You will work closely with the founder, marketing team, creative team, sales team, event organisers, fabricators, suppliers and external partners. This is not purely an event coordination role. You will be responsible for translating ideas into actual spaces, materials, merchandise, installations and consumer experiences. You should be comfortable moving between creative discussions, supplier sourcing, production planning, budgeting and on site execution.
