Massive Anchor Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Event Manager to own projects from pitch to execution. You will lead client engagements, manage budgets, coordinate internal teams and suppliers, and ensure every event meets the highest standards.
The role requires at least 8 years in events or experiential marketing, strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to work under pressure, travel as needed, and deliver profitable, polished events.

As an Event Manager, you'll be responsible for leading projects from pitch to execution, managing clients, mentoring the team, controlling budgets, and ensuring every event is delivered to the highest standard. You'll work closely with internal departments, suppliers and clients while maintaining excellent communication, commercial awareness and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone with at least 8 years of experience in the events industry who thrives under pressure, enjoys solving problems, and believes that no challenge is too big.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Understand client objectives and translate them into executable event strategies.
Lead client meetings, presentations and project updates with confidence.
Handle client expectations professionally while providing practical solutions.
Lead projects from concept development through execution and post-event reporting.
Develop detailed project timelines, work plans and execution schedules.
Identify project risks early and implement contingency plans.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
Lead, mentor and motivate Event Executives and Senior Event Executives.
Delegate responsibilities effectively based on team strengths and project priorities.
Monitor project progress and ensure accountability across the team.
Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented and positive working environment.
Provide guidance and coaching to develop team capabilities.
Prepare project budgets, quotations and cost estimates.
Monitor project profitability and ensure efficient cost management.
Source competitive quotations while maintaining quality standards.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising client expectations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with production partners and suppliers.
Manage vendor negotiations, procurement and contract execution.
Ensure all deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
Resolve supplier issues efficiently and professionally.
Oversee venue setup, rehearsals, show flow and on-site operations.
Ensure smooth coordination between production, logistics, registration, technical teams and suppliers.
Lead crisis management and make timely decisions during live events.
Maintain high operational standards across every stage of event execution.
Support proposal development and contribute strategic ideas during pitches.
Identify upselling opportunities within existing projects.
Develop commercially viable solutions that align with client objectives and budgets.
Contribute to improving internal processes and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate project documentation and financial records.
Prepare post-event reports, project evaluations and client debriefs.
Ensure all project files, contracts and approvals are properly documented.
Work closely with the Finance team on billing, supplier payments and project reconciliation.
Minimum 8 years of experience in the event management or experiential marketing industry.
Proven experience managing large-scale corporate events, conferences, launches, roadshows or activations.
Strong client servicing and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.
High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to manage clients, suppliers and internal teams professionally.
Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing quotations, managing budgets and improving project profitability.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Strong understanding of event production, logistics, fabrication, AV, staging and technical terminology.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
Willing to work evenings, weekends and travel when required.
