Job summary

Hextar Mitai (FKA Mitaicorp Engineering) in Selangor invites a capable engineer to handle customer enquiries and tender bids, design and cost estimation for projects aligned with customer requirements.

You will liaise with suppliers for purchasing materials and shipments, support marketing by sourcing new suppliers and products, evaluate technical and commercial aspects, monitor vendor performance, and contribute to maintaining competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2008/2015 QMS.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and tender bid activities.
• Design and cost estimation for projects.
• Liaise with suppliers for purchasing materials and shipment.
• Support marketing by sourcing new suppliers and products.
• Perform technical and commercial evaluations during sourcing.
• Maintain vendor performance in quality and delivery.
• Contribute to ongoing competitiveness and any ad-hoc tasks.

Job description

• To handle customer enquiries and carry out tender bid activities (design and cost estimation) for projects according to customer requirements/ specifications
• Liaise with suppliers in purchasing materials and shipment arrangement for projects and daily operation needs
• Support marketing activities by sourcing new potential suppliers and products
• Perform evaluation in terms of technical and commercial during sourcing and procurement
• Maintain and monitor vendor performance (Quality and Delivery)
• Constantly review competitiveness of the company
• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical / Chemical discipline
• Require minimum 5 years working experience in the field
• Experience in ISO 9001:2008 / ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
