Job summary

VIKING OFFSHORE MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an experienced tender and proposal professional to lead estimations, prepare quotations, and coordinate with internal departments to deliver competitive and compliant proposals.

The role focuses on timely tender submission, cost optimization, and close collaboration with sales to secure contracts, while maintaining strong relationships with customers and subcontractors in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering preferred.
• Good knowledge of related industries.
• Resourceful with ability to lead a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out operations of estimating and proposal department to the highest standard.
• Offer quotations to customer inquiries ensuring requirements are met and proposals are accurate and compliant.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and resources.
• Ensure timely submission of proposals and tenders within deadlines.
• Prepare tender costing and review costs and pricing strategies to ensure profitability.
• Work with sales team to secure contracts and follow up tenders closely.
• Liaise with customers for additional work and justify claims.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and subcontractors.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job description

To carry out all operation of estimating and proposal department and performs to the highest standard

To offer quotations to customer inquiry, ensure that all customer requirements are met, proposals are accurate and competitive, clear and compliant with relevant standards, rules and regulations.

To coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Finance, Project etc). to gather necessary information and resources

Ensure timely submission of proposals and tenders within the prescribed deadlines

To prepare tender costing, review costs and pricing strategies to ensure that proposals are cost-effective while maintaining profit margins.

To working closely with the sales team, assist in secure contracts, and to follow up all tender closely and diligently

Liaise with customer pertaining to additional work carry out and additional claims are justified

Liaise with customer and subcontractor and maintain good relationship

Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Education, Qualification, Special Training & Knowledge & Skill

Preferably Degree / Diploma in Engineering

Have good knowledge in related industries

Resourceful and able to lead and motivate a team of co-workers

Preferably computer literate

Process good communication skill and pleasant personality

Able to work under pressure and tight submission schedule.
