Job summary

Hextar Mitai (FKA Mitaicorp Engineering) in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a seasoned Estimation & Procurement professional to support tendering, cost estimates, and supplier negotiations. You will prepare MTO/BOQ, compare quotations, coordinate with project teams, and ensure timely delivery of materials for construction and engineering projects.

A strong Excel skill set and communication are essential. Applicants with QS background or AutoCAD knowledge will have an added advantage; ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Civil / Structural).
• At least 5 years in estimation, tendering and procurement for construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in preparing MTO / BOQ and obtaining quotations.
• Good in Microsoft Excel; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in customer enquiries handling and tender bid activities documentation.
• Prepare MTO / BOQ and cost estimates, and obtain quotations for tender bids.
• Prepare quotation comparisons for tender and purchasing decisions.
• Assist in sorting and compiling all essential information for specifications and job requirements.
• Assist in strategic procurement activities, including RFQs, supplier negotiation and purchase orders.
• Support marketing activities by sourcing new potential suppliers and products.
• Follow up with vendors on deliveries and assist in logistics.
• Update the Company project experience list and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Prepare MTO / BOQ and cost estimates, and obtain quotations for tender bids


• Prepare quotation comparisons for tender and purchasing decisions


• Assist in sorting and compiling all essential information for specifications and job requirements

Procurement

• Assist in strategic procurement activities, including RFQs, supplier negotiation and purchase orders


• Support marketing activities by sourcing new potential suppliers and products


• Constantly follow up with vendors on purchased goods/services deliveries


• Assist in logistics and delivery arrangements

Others

• Constantly update the Company project experience list


• Any other responsibilities assigned by Management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Civil / Structural)


• At least 5 years of experience in estimation, tendering and procurement for construction or engineering projects


• Experience in preparing MTO / BOQ and obtaining quotations


• Good in Microsoft Excel


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong sense of responsibility towards the work


• Positive attitude, willing to learn, hardworking and resilient

Added Advantage:

• Quantity Surveyor (QS) background


• Able to read engineering drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus)


• Experience with ERP / procurement systems


• Able to speak and read/write Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients/suppliers)
