The Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for sourcing materials, components, and services necessary for our projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

- Sourcing Strategy Development
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Cost Analysis and Negotiation
- Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
- Technical Evaluation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assess the technical specifications and capabilities of sourced materials and components.
- Evaluate supplier proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Quality Assurance
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, purchase orders, and sourcing decisions.
- Provide regular reports on sourcing activities, savings, and supplier performance.
Candidate Requirements
- At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in technical sourcing, supplier negotiation, and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Proficient in Malay and English; ability to communicate in Mandarin considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel both locally and overseas.
- Preferred candidate language: Chinese, due to frequent communication with China suppliers.
- Age below 45 years old.
- Fresh graduates are welcome, provided the salary expectation is reasonable.
