Job summary

Alphv Recruit is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineering Lead to direct a 3–4 person engineering team in KL, coordinating with the Delivery Project Manager on project requirements and resources. The role focuses on maintaining high standards in networking, firewall support, and overall project delivery.

Job description

• A fast-growing regional technology solutions provider specializing in enterprise infrastructure and AI Data Centre (AIDC) solutions.
• Operating across 11 entities in the Asia-Pacific region, serving both traditional enterprise customers and emerging AI infrastructure clients.
• Currently expanding its delivery capabilities and transitioning from traditional IT infrastructure solutions towards next-generation AI infrastructure projects.
• Offers regional project exposure across multiple markets, with opportunities to work alongside international customers, vendors and engineering teams.

Project/Goal:

• Direct Enterprise Engineering operations and project execution while serving as the senior technical backup to maintain rigorous standards across project delivery, technical quality, and day-to-day support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 3 to 4 engineers, overseeing daily operations and team performance.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals and engineer development.
• Establish engineering SOPs and ensure support operations and project delivery meet required standards.
• Provide technical direction and handle complex networking and firewall escalations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Project Manager on technical resources and project requirements.

Skills Requirements:

• Proven experience leading and managing technical engineering teams.
• Strong people management capabilities, including recruitment, performance management and team development.
• Solid technical background in enterprise networking and firewall environments.
• Able to balance team leadership with hands-on technical involvement.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Mandarin proficiency is a priority.
• Willing to travel overseas for extended project assignments.
• Enterprise networking, particularly LAN and wireless.

Good to Have:

• Experience with enterprise cloud infrastructure or AI Internet Data Centre projects.
• Exposure to multiple networking and firewall vendors.

Work Location:

• Based in KL, remote working arrangements with overseas travel and outstation assignments required.
• Must be comfortable with extended on-site assignments of 1 to 2 months or longer, depending on project requirements.
• Flights, hotel accommodation and country-based daily allowances are provided for overseas assignments.
