Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–7 years' experience managing, provisioning, and implementing network security tech in a large global environment.
• Expert-level hands-on configuration of networking equipment, management tools and network analyzers.
• Ability to write detailed procedures and maintain documentation (Visio/LucidCharts).
• Expert knowledge of Layer 3 technologies: IPv4, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, HSRP, DMVPN, NHRP, GETVPN.
• Expert knowledge of Layer 2 technologies: Spanning-Tree, VLANs, QinQ, Dot1q.
• Experience with load-balancing technologies and platforms such as Citrix, F5.
• Operational experience with Checkpoint & Fortinet firewalls.
• Operational experience with Proxy, WAF & IPS technologies.
• Good knowledge of Cloud Networking technologies.
• Extensive experience working remotely in a self-managed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide network design and implementation strategies, migration plans, and technical project support for varying project complexities.
• Test and evaluate network systems to identify problems and drive improvements.
• Prepare business cases, financial analyses, deployment plans, and BOMs for leadership review.
• Perform hands-on configurations for new deployments.
• Prepare build documents and Operational Support procedures; transfer knowledge to Network Operations.
• Design, implement and manage network and security within a secure multi-tenant cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Assist with standard designs from Network Engineering for infrastructure projects; configure, troubleshoot, document, and optimize.
• Provide after-hours support for new deployments not yet transitioned to Network Operations.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities

• Provide network design and implementationstrategies, migration plans, and technical project support for low to high levelcomplexity projects.
