Job summary

Jora Malaysia is recruiting for a Maintenance role based in Pulau Indah, Port Klang. You will improve the MEX maintenance data, manage spare parts, and support GMP walks with production teams. The role involves preparing detailed work orders and tracking capex purchases.

You will also lead admin tasks, audits follow-ups, and KPI reporting while collaborating with the maintenance and wider organization. Open to temporary, full-time, or contract positions.

Qualifications

• Minimum be trade qualified, preferably mechanical or dual mechanical/electrical trade.
• 1+ years experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
• Strong safety focus and commitment to comply with company safety systems.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
• Good communication skills including verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem solving ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Relevant IT skills in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of the maintenance system (MEX) data and asset registration, task accuracy, and PM policy updates.
• Procure spare parts within budget; manage inventory control in MEX and physical storage.
• Participate in GMP walks and coordinate work with production, sanitation, facilities and project teams.
• Follow up on audit gaps; prepare detailed work orders including scope for planned activities and corrective work.
• Prepare reports and update KPI dashboards weekly/monthly against targets.
• Lead special maintenance projects, CER submission, scope detailing and weekly Capex reporting.
• Participate in Contractor Management from Safety Induction to Work Permit Issuance for high-risk activities.
• Lead Maintenance Department administrative tasks and document controls including weekly duty rosters and PR/PO requisitions.

1. Continuous improvement of the maintenance system (MEX) data, including: asset registration, accuracy of work order tasks; works frequency; labour hours, PM policy update, MEX Request, parts and consumables.

2. Procuring spare parts for maintenance activities in accordance with available budget, including developing inventory control and reordering capability in the maintenance system MEX and physical management of the inventory.

3. Participate in GMP walks and scheduling works accordance with production, sanitation, facilities and project team activities. Updating i-Leader compliance status.

4. Diligently follow-up on audit gaps (internal and external). Prepare detailed work orders, including scoping of requirements, for all planned activities including corrective work, that may break into the schedule

5. Preparing reports and updating KPI dashboards against the defined department targets based on weekly and monthly routines.

6. Managing special projects of works utilizing internal and external resources, starting from CER submission, scope detailing and reporting weekly tracking of Capex purchases.

7. Participate in Contractor Management tasks from Safety Induction, Permit to Work and Work Permit Issuance for High Risk activities.

8. Leading the Maintenance Department Administrative tasks and Document controls/filings with online server backup eg: Weekly Duty Roster preparations, PR/PO requisitions, Workshop 5S etc.

Experience and Skills Required:

1. Minimum trade qualified, preferably mechanical or dual mechanical electrical trade. Or, tertiary engineering qualification.

2. 1+ years experience in a manufacturing or an industrial engineering environment.

3. Strong safety focus and commitment to comply with company safety systems.

4. Solid Excellent organizational skills and ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.

5. Good communication skills including verbal and written communication.

6. Strong Demonstrated problem solving ability and mechanical aptitude.

7. Relevant IT skills in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

8. Good Proven team player and able to work well in the maintenance team as well as the wider organization.
