Job summary

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kapar, Selangor is seeking a Project Planning and Coordination professional to develop detailed project plans for production line setups and modifications, and to coordinate with internal departments and external contractors.

You will oversee installation and commissioning, ensure EHS compliance, maintain maintenance records, drive energy efficiency, and lead safety briefings while developing the team and ensuring 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Develop detailed project plans and schedules for production line setups and modifications (≤140 chars).
• Coordinate with internal departments (Production, PEM, EHS, Purchasing) and external contractors/suppliers (≤140 chars).
• Initiate Material Requisitions (MRs) and Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for procurement of services or components (≤140 chars).
• Monitor project progress, manage timelines, track deliverables, and escalate issues (≤140 chars).
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of production lines (≤140 chars).
• Collaborate with contractor, maintenance and automation teams to integrate equipment (≤140 chars).
• Ensure EHS protocols and engineering standards are followed during install/start-up (≤140 chars).
• Maintain records of maintenance to analyze trends for preventive maintenance adjustments (≤140 chars).
• Monitor utilities/energy consumption and develop improvement plans (≤140 chars).
• Define SOPs and WI; ensure current documentation (≤140 chars).
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings; ensure PPE compliance (≤140 chars).
• Maintain 5S standards in the work area (≤140 chars).
• Share knowledge and mentor inexperienced technicians (≤140 chars).
• Provide technical leadership and on-the-job development (≤140 chars).

• Maintain maintenance records and analyze trends for preventive plans.
• Monitor energy usage and drive efficiency improvements.
• Define SOPs and WI; keep documentation current.
• Lead toolbox talks and PPE compliance to ensure safety.
• Keep work area tidy per 5S principles.
• Share best practices; mentor technicians for skill development.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance as needed.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Project Planning and Coordination

• 1. Develop detailed project plans and schedules for production line setups and modifications.
• 2. Coordinate with internal departments (Production, PEM, EHS, Purchasing) and external contractors/suppliers.

Installation and Commissioning

• 5. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of production lines.
• 6. Work closely with contractor, maintenance and automation teams to integrate equipment and ensure operational readiness.
• 7. Ensure that EHS protocols and engineering standards are followed during installation and start-up phases.
• 8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance provided to analyse the trend (based work done report) of the equipment to determine necessary fine tuning of preventive maintenance plan that best suit the production requirements.
• 9. Monitor, review and drive lower utilities and energy consumption (electricity, water, gas) and develop improvement plans.

Safety, Standards and Compliance

• 10. Define, communicate and review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for processes, equipment, installation and ensure it is kept current.
• 11. Cultivate and enforce safe working practices to ensure safety of the workforce in the team, compliance to safety standards and drive toward zero loss time injury. Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and PPE usage compliance within team.
