Job summary

SANGSIN ENERTECH SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This full-time role focuses on overseeing engineering operations, supervising technical staff, and ensuring high-quality project delivery on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 8+ years of engineering experience (3+ years in management), and a proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices and industry standards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor engineering teams to ensure project delivery and performance.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion within budgets and timelines.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure regulatory, safety and quality compliance across projects.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver solutions meeting requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and proposals; manage budgets and costs.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a strategic role in overseeing engineering operations and leading technical teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing engineering projects, supervising technical staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This role is pivotal to achieving our organisational objectives and driving continuous improvement across our engineering services.

Key responsibilities

Leading, managing and supervising engineering teams to ensure effective project delivery and team performance

Planning, coordinating and overseeing engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets

Developing and implementing engineering strategies, processes and procedures to optimise operational efficiency

Monitoring project progress and identifying risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Ensuring all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards and quality requirements

Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineering staff, supporting their professional development and growth

Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal departments to manage expectations and deliver solutions that meet requirements

Preparing technical reports, documentation and project proposals as required

Managing engineering budgets and controlling project costs to ensure profitability

Conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs for team members

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; relevant professional certifications are advantageous

Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role

Proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices and industry standards relevant to the sector

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software applications

Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire team members

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of stakeholders

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements

Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements and best practices

Budget management experience and financial acumen

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills are desirable
