Job summary

TRISYSTEMS ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a Proposal Engineer for on-site work at our Sendayan headquarters in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The role supports project and tender execution by preparing technical and commercial proposals and coordinating document submissions.

The candidate will review technical specs, prepare project documents, liaise with customers for clarifications, and manage cost control while coordinating procurement and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in proposal and costing preparation, preferably in oil and gas industry.
• Expert knowledge in PLC panel, system drawings.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Review project technical specifications and requirements.
• Prepare, revision, and submission of project documents.
• Liaise with customers for technical clarifications.
• Manage project cost control.
• Source and liaise with suppliers for procurement.
• Support sales and coordinate with relevant department for project execution.
• Ensure proposals are compliant and timely.
• Coordinate RFPs and tender documents; finalize assumptions with Proposals Manager.
• Fulfill duties of Senior Engineer, Proposal when required.

Job description

This position is only for on-site at our headquarters in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan so we are looking for a candidate who is living in Sendayan, able to travel to Sendayan or willing to relocate there.

Job Description

The Proposal Engineer supports project and tender execution by preparing technical and commercial proposals, reviewing project specifications, and coordinating document submissions.

What You Will Be Doing

Review and understand project technical specification and requirements.

Responsible for project documents preparation, revision and submissions.

Liaise with customer for technical clarifications.

Manage project cost control.

Source and liaise with suppliers for procurement.

Support sales and work closely with relevant department for project execution.

Ensure commercial, technical and logistics are analyzed and agreed.

Clear understanding of work scope and best estimation with respect to execution of project.

Coordinates the preparation and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other tender documents that are responsive to client requirements and in compliance with company objectives are completed in timely manner.

Coordinates with Proposals Manager to finalize the assumptions and exclusions to be included in the Proposal.

Fulfill the duties of Senior Engineer, Proposal as and when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer or equivalent.

1 – 3 years of experience in proposal and costing preparation, preferably in oil and gas industry.

Expert knowledge in PLC panel, system drawings.

Good interpersonal skills with strong attention to details, self-starter, proactive and possess and alert, inquiring mind.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Good in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Fluent in spoken and written of English and Bahasa Melayu.

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Able to work independently and as a team player.
