Job summary

Top Glove is seeking an Engineer, Mechanical [M&E] for the Project Team (PMO). You will plan and schedule maintenance activities, coordinate with multiple departments, and prepare materials and SOPs to support production lines.

You will also troubleshoot equipment, liaise with suppliers, and contribute to new production line projects. You will design and install equipment, monitor factory processes, manage project budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage maintenance activities for maintenance staff and workers.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with the Maintenance Engineer, Production, Compounding, and Chlorination departments.
• Prepare project drawings, specifications, and procure required materials.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and prepare technical reports.
• Liaise with suppliers on machine design, installation, maintenance services, and technical support.
• Design, install, and improve equipment used to control and monitor factory processes, systems, and machinery.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects, including budget preparation and cost control.
• Ensure equipment installation and operations comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
• Operate, inspect and maintain machinery for optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain engineering documentation by tracking design modifications and updating technical records.
• Assist project engineers in new production line project planning, monitoring and commissioning
• Involve in project coordination with end user, sub-department PIC and project team workers.
• Conduct SAP for every PR and record costing for every PO, compile all PO and prepare a costing report at project end.
• Involve in sub-department portfolio for new production line.
• Shall take additional responsibility as instructed by the immediate superior.
