Job summary

Top Glove Corporation Berhad is seeking an electrical and instrumentation engineer to supervise installation, lead commissioning, and ensure systems meet design specifications. You will work on HV/LV electrical systems, instrumentation, and control networks in a challenging plant environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience, a degree or master’s in Electrical or Automation Engineering, and willingness to relocate to Banting, Malaysia. Relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Holds at least a Degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, including handling HV and LV systems.
• Proven experience in petrochemical, oleo chemical or oil & gas industry is highly preferred.
• Ability to work on a shift basis as required by the operational demands.
• Willingness to relocate or work in Banting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring they meet design specifications.
• Lead commissioning activities, including testing and validation of systems to ensure proper functionality before plant start-up.
• Create and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of electrical systems and instrumentation devices.
• Ensure all systems comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.
• Implement advanced control strategies (DCS, PLC, SCADA) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage electrical and instrumentation aspects of new projects or upgrades, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Prepare project documentation including technical reports, progress updates, and budget forecasts.
• Provide technical support to plant operations teams regarding electrical and instrumentation issues.

Your Mission:

Provide technical support to plant operations teams regarding electrical and instrumentation issues.

What we are looking for:

Holds at least a Degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, including handling high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems.

Proven experience working in the petrochemical, oleo chemical or oil & gas industry is highly preferred.

Ability to work on a shift basis as required by the operational demands.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex systems.

Willingness to relocate or work in Banting.
