Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering to oversee plant operations, maintenance, and safety at the batching plant in Johor Bahru. You will review procedures, troubleshoot issues, and supervise maintenance teams to ensure reliable production.

Candidate should have 1–3 years' experience in a ready-mix plant or construction, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement standard operating procedures for plant startup and operations.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.

• Review current, continually improvise and implement standard operating work procedures and instructions for plant startup, normal operations and troubleshooting, planned and emergency shutdown, and including plant equipment & utilities operations and maintenance
• Troubleshooting plant issues and providing instructions and guidance to maintenance technicians to resolution on required basis and by consulting the plant manager
• Supervise teams on daily basis to enhance and achieve reliable plant operations
• Responsible for general repair, maintenance and upkeep of the batching plant
• Carry out preventive maintenance of plant equipments and perform repairs on broken-down equipments
• Perform hands-on mechanical repair work as welding and gas cutting
• Trouble-shooting and rectifying problems of the machines and equipment on a daily basis
• To comply with the safety standards and policies implemented by the Company at all times and be responsible with your own safety as well as others without posing any threat, hazard or endangerment wherever you will be when representing the Company
• Any other duties as assigned
