Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products (M) Sdn Bhd is based in Johor Bahru and seeks a skilled facilities maintenance supervisor to ensure smooth plant operation by maintaining buildings, utilities and equipment.

You will plan weekly to yearly maintenance, supervise subordinates, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and liaise with authorities. An Electrical Chargeman BO 11KV certificate and 5+ years in related field are required.

Qualifications

• Possess Electrical Chargeman BO 11KV Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in related field.
• Must be able to use Microsoft office application.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute activities to achieve departmental objectives as directed by HOD
• Prepare equipment, utilities and facilities maintenance, servicing and inspection weekly, monthly and yearly schedule and checksheets for the facilities and follow up with subordinates on the progress of the activities
• Liaise with relevant authorities for compliance obligation requirements
• Analyze utilities, facilities and equipment performance and propose and execute improvement activities
• Train, guide, supervise and coach subordinates to achieve departmental objectives
• Carry out jobs according to Legal requirement for Confine Space such as Flood pump pit and Sewage plant maintenance
• Introduce only environmental friendly material to manager level or other requirements
• Segregate and dispose scheduled waste according to legal and other requirements
• Ensure safety is first priority for every activities carried out by the department
• Plan and execute environmental monitoring activities
• Carry out vendor evaluation for environmental monitoring vendor.
• Perform any other related tasks / functions as and when required by the Company.

Job description
