Private Advertiser in Senai, Johor, Malaysia seeks an experienced Manager, Factory Facilities Maintenance to oversee electrical installations and overall facilities operations across our manufacturing sites. This role requires a valid high-voltage Chargeman competency and willingness to travel between branches.

Job description

An experienced Manager, Factory Facilities Maintenance with a valid high-voltage Chargeman competency certificate to manage the electrical installations and overall facilities operations of our manufacturing facilities in Senai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and compliant operation of the company’s electrical infrastructure, factory facilities, utilities and building services. This position requires regular travel between our branches and availability to provide on-call support during facility emergencies.

Key responsibilities

Lead the facilities and maintenance operations for the company’s manufacturing facilities.

Develop and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and operational disruption.

Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical installations within the authorised competency scope.

Oversee substations, transformers, switchgears, generators, electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, fire-protection and other building systems.

Troubleshoot facility and electrical breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Lead and develop the facilities team, allocate manpower and monitor departmental performance.

Plan and manage operating and capital expenditure budgets, including major repairs, replacements and facility upgrades.

Manage contractors, service providers, quotations and maintenance agreements to ensure compliance with cost, quality, safety and delivery requirements.

Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, DOSH, TNB, local-authority and other applicable statutory requirements.

Lead facility improvement projects, renovations, system upgrades and energy-saving initiatives.

Maintain statutory logbooks, inspection records, maintenance reports, permits and audit documentation.

Prepare management reports and provide on-call emergency support, including travelling between facilities when required.

About you

Possess a valid BO or B4 Chargeman Certificate of Competency.

At least a Diploma/Degree in a related field such as facility, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

Preferably with 7 years experience in facility related roles.

Strong knowledge in schematic drawing (electrical, pneumatic, and piping system) and troubleshooting in the event of breakdown occurs.

Know how to use tools and am familiar with maintenance tools.

Possess excellent leadership and teamwork abilities, and organizational skills.

Hands on and a problem solver, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication both in English and Bahasa.
