The ideal candidate holds a BO Chargeman Certificate up to 11kV, a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, and 3–5 years in HV maintenance. Independent work and strong safety focus are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 11kV (BO certified).
• Ensure compliance with ST regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain switchgears, transformers, MCCs and distribution systems.
• Monitor energy use and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance with contractors and junior staff.
• Support plant operations and electrical safety within HSE standards.

Role Description

We are looking for a certified and experienced Chargeman BO (11kV) to manage and maintain high-voltage electrical systems within our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and hands‑on experience in operating and maintaining electrical installations. Management experience or potential to lead a team will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 11kV (BO certified scope).
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with Energy Commission (ST) regulations and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for switchgears, transformers, MCC panels, and distribution systems.
• Monitor energy consumption and advise on efficiency improvements.
• Ensure timely servicing, record keeping, and reporting for all high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Liaise with TNB, ST, contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies when required.
• Assist in planning and execution of electrical improvement or expansion projects.
• If required, supervise contractors and junior technicians, and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Support overall plant operations and HSE compliance related to electrical safety.

Requirements

• Possess valid BO Chargeman Certificate (up to 11kV) registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in high-voltage electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, protection devices, and safety procedures.
• Management or supervisory experience is an added advantage.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance programs and technical reporting.
• Able to work independently, respond to emergencies, and support 24/7 plant operations if required.
