Job summary

Farm Fresh Berhad in Muadzam Shah is seeking a competent Chargeman B1 to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems within a 24-hour manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance while coordinating with Engineering, Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime.

Key duties include supervising external contractors, maintaining records, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Chargeman B1 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, transformers, switchgear and electrical distribution networks.
• Hands‑on experience in electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and breakdown management.
• Good understanding of electrical safety regulations, compliance requirements and safe working procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willing to support emergency breakdowns and 24-hour factory operations.
• Willing to be based in Muadzam Shah, Pahang.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain HV and LV electrical systems in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify potential hazards and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ST regulations, electrical safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance activities, equipment performance and operational logbooks.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors during electrical installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns and support restoration of power supply.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability, energy efficiency and operational performance.
• Work closely with the Engineering, Maintenance and Production teams to support smooth factory operations.

Job description

We are seeking a competent and experienced Chargeman B1 to join our Engineering & Maintenance team at Muadzam Shah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of electrical systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting uninterrupted operations in a 24-hour manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, monitor and maintain High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and power distribution systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime and ensure operational continuity.

Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify potential hazards and maintenance requirements.

Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, electrical safety standards and company policies.
