Job summary

Halcyon Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor seeks a skilled Tooling Engineer/Technician to manage tooling, draft precise 3D/2D drawings, and support onsite tool vending services to back sales while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will blend hands-on machining experience with drafting proficiency, applying rigorous tooling practices, tool reconditioning, and expert application engineering to optimise performance and uptime across customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in turning, auto lathe, milling or similar manufacturing/maintenance roles.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work occasional shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Tool Vending Management: oversee tool vending systems in-house and at customer sites.
• Reconditioning Program: manage tool regrinding and reconditioning to extend life.
• Technical Drafting: create and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Application Engineering Support: advise clients on tooling selection and machining parameters.

Halcyon Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tooling Engineer / Technician to join our dynamic team in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor.

In this role, you will be the backbone of our technical engineering support, driving efficiency through expert tooling management, accurate technical drafting, and top-tier tool reconditioning services. You will ensure our internal and onsite tool vending systems operate seamlessly to support our sales goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Tool Vending Management: Oversee the comprehensive management and technical support of tool vending systems both in-house and onsite at customer facilities.

• Reconditioning Program: Manage the tool regrinding and reconditioning program to maximize tool life, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs.

• Technical Drafting: Generate and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D engineering drawings, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and tolerance requirements.

• Application Engineering Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, advising on tooling selection, machining parameters, and optimization.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Proven hands-on experience in turning, auto lathe, milling machining, or a similar manufacturing/maintenance role.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cutting tools and CNC manufacturing equipment.

• Drafting Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Qualifications: Relevant certification in tooling, maintenance, or mechanical engineering (preferred).

• Flexibility: Openness to occasional shift work and overtime as business needs require.
