Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an engineering professional to develop and implement tooling and fixtures to optimize manufacturing operations. The role involves touching up jig and fixture components, maintaining punching dies, and ensuring accurate tooling performance.

You will read part drawings, develop tooling specifications, maintain shop tools, and uphold the quality system with updated records. The position requires a degree or diploma in polymers, mechanical engineering or related fields, plus

Qualifications

• Degree in Polymer Technology/ Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with relevant working experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in milling, CNC machine or tooling related knowledge.
• Knowledge on extrusion die/tooling design will be an added advantages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tooling and fixture solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Assist relevant department to touch up and modify jig & fixture and machinery parts as requested.
• Perform maintenance and servicing for all punching dies and tooling returned from production.
• Read part drawings. Develop specifications for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
• Perform machine maintenance for tool shop and safeguard all tooling, especially metal tooling.
• Ensure quality system is implemented, and all records are updated.

• To assist relevant department to touch up and modify jig & fixture and machinery parts as requested.
• To perform proper maintenance and servicing for all the punching dies and tooling returned from production.
• Reads and interprets part drawings. Develop specifications for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes
• To perform the machine maintenance for tool shop and safe keeping all the tooling especially match metal tooling.
• To ensure quality system is implemented, and all records are updated.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Polymer Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science/ Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering or Diploma with relevant working experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in milling, CNC machine or tooling related knowledge.
• Knowledge on extrusion die/tooling design will be an added advantages.
• Independent and with positive attitude.
