Job summary

APM Corporate Services is seeking a skilled tooling designer to create and maintain tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in our manufacturing processes. You will design efficient tooling to minimize downtime and support production needs.

Responsibilities include tool maintenance, maintenance scheduling, root-cause analysis for breakdowns, and ensuring SOPs and documentation are up to date. A strong CAD/CAM background and knowledge of IATF16949 will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years hands-on experience in tooling design or manufacturing engineering.
• Familiar with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Able to interpret IATF16949 requirements.
• Multilingual is an advantage.

Objective: Continuously evaluate and improve tooling design and processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste. and improve product quality, creating and design tools, dies , jigs, and fixtures to meet specific production needs and ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Accountabilities

Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures required for the manufacturing process. Creation of tool designs that meet production needs and comply with quality standards. Design of tools with efficient functionality to minimize downtime and production delays.

Oversee and perform maintenance, repair, and upgrades to tools and equipment. Effective scheduling and execution of tool maintenance to prevent production disruptions. Swift resolution of tooling-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations. Timely repairs and upgrades to ensure tools are functional and meet production demand.

Conduct daily routine checks and ensure maintenance team carry out daily preventive maintenance duties, job request and tooling request.

Perform root cause analysis activities for machine breakdown and improvement activities.

Ensure proper departmental documentation and SOP.

Responsible for all the projects assigned to.

What we're looking for:

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is the minimum requirements.

Professional Experience :

2 years of hands-on experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or production processes; however, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Familiarity with CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAM software is often essential.

Understand and able to interprets in standard requirement for IATF16949.

Multilingual is added advantage.
