ADVANCE SCAPES (M) SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Tooling Design Engineer to join our tooling & die-engineering team. The role focuses on designing and releasing stamping tools for progressive, compound and transfer dies to meet customer specs.
You will collaborate across Production, Toolroom, and Engineering on try-outs, tooling trials, fitting and modifications, applying GD&T and industry standards to ensure robust tooling and minimized defects.

ADVANCE SCAPES (M) SDN BHD is a precision metal-stamping component. We design, fabricate and maintain our own tooling. We're looking for a skilled and motivated Tooling Design Engineer to join our tooling & die-engineering team.
Design and release stamping tools/dies (progressive, compound, transfer) to meet customer and internal specifications.
Collaborate with Production, Toolroom and Engineering on try-out, tool trials, fitting, alignment and modifications.
Review customer drawings, revise tooling designs based on feedback and change-requests.
Apply GD&T, design standards and manufacturing knowledge to minimize defects and drive tooling robustness.
Maintain tooling database, updates, change history and ensure documentation (drawings, BOMs, tooling standards) are controlled.
Support root-cause investigations of tooling / die failures, propose design improvements and preventive actions.
Liaise with vendors/suppliers of tooling components (where applicable) to ensure correct specification & quality.
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience (ideally 1-3 years) in tooling design for metal stamping environment.
Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and tooling/die design.
Have experience in ISO9001
Good understanding of metal stamping processes, material behaviour (sheet metal), die construction, fitments and press operation.
Working knowledge of GD&T, tooling standards, die set elements and manufacturing tolerances.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate across functions (Production, QA, Maintenance).
Able to communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
Preferably experience with progressive or compound dies, tool try-out and troubleshooting.
